Krux Drox is a wireless mechanical keyboard with a compact 65% layout, a
multifunction control knob, and a display that supports animations. It blends retro
inspired design with modern features — including tri-mode connectivity (USB
cable, 2.4 GHz USB dongle, and Bluetooth), gasket-mount construction, and Krux
Violet switches. It also offers hot-swap support, ARGB backlighting, and web
based software.
Built-in display
The keyboard features an integrated 2.3-inch vertical display that shows key
information at a glance — including the status of Caps Lock, Win Lock, and battery,
as well as the current connection mode. It also allows you to control ARGB lighting
settings and switch between Win/Mac modes using the multifunction knob (which
adjusts volume by default). The display can even play GIF animations — with an
option to store two files at a time and easily switch between them.
Retro-inspired form, modern character
The Krux Drox keyboard features a light color palette with darker accents that
echo the aesthetics of the 1990s. At the same time, its modern display, full ARGB
backlighting, and advanced features give it a distinctly futuristic feel. The 65%
layout offers an exceptionally compact form factor that fits effortlessly on almost
any desk — and easily slips into a laptop backpack. A sturdy construction made
from high-quality materials, along with effective anti-slip feet, ensures stability
and the right level of rigidity even during intense use.
Three connectivity modes — 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth, and wired
Drox easily adapts to your setup and the way you work or play. You can choose
from three connection options: low-latency 2.4 GHz wireless using the included
USB-A dongle (neatly stored under the keyboard’s foot), Bluetooth with support
for pairing up to three devices, or a USB-C wired connection that also charges the
keyboard. Effortlessly switch between your laptop, desktop, tablet, or smartphone
—without unplugging cables or interrupting your workflow or gameplay.
Krux Violet switches with PBT keycaps
At the heart of the keyboard are Krux Violet mechanical switches — linear,
exceptionally smooth, and free of a tactile bump, featuring a single-stage spring
and a light actuation force (43±5 gf). They deliver a fluid, quiet keystroke even
during fast typing or intense gaming, without the harsh resistance typical of other
switch types. Paired with durable PBT keycaps, they offer a typing experience that
feels almost like your fingers are gliding across the keyboard, along with excellent
resistance to wear and a clean look that lasts.
Multi-layer gasket construction
The keyboard features a five-layer internal dampening system (PORON, IXPE,
silicone, PET, and foam) designed to reduce echo and unwanted resonance. The
gasket-mount construction works seamlessly with the characteristics of the Krux
Violet switches, improving key flexibility and delivering a softer, more satisfying
keystroke. The result is a warm, refined sound profile — free from hollow echoes
or metallic tones.
Advanced web-based software
Drox supports browser-based software available in both 2.4 GHz wireless and
wired modes, giving you full control over how the keyboard works. You can create
macros, remap keys in multiple ways for each button (for example, assigning
functions missing from the 65% layout), manage ARGB lighting, configure
operating modes (including Windows and Mac), and enable gaming features such
as N-key rollover, snap tap, or using WSAD as arrow keys. When connected via
USB, you can also upload your own GIF files to the display.
Hot-swap support and included accessories
With hot-swap support, you can replace switches without any soldering — just a
few simple steps are enough to swap them out. The box includes two spare Krux
Violet switches, a keycap puller, and a switch removal tool, so you have everything
you need to customize your keyboard right away.
