USB or XLR? You choose
The dual connector isn’t a gimmick – it’s a roadmap for the future. USB means Plug & Play with no fine print: USB-C cable included, plug it in, your computer sees the microphone, and you start recording. No drivers, no configuration, no “why isn’t this working?”. In USB mode, you also get access to all functions: sensitivity and volume control, mute, and microphone monitoring. XLR comes into play if you already have or decide to add an audio interface or mixer. In analog mode, Qube hands control over to the interface – with that combo, Qube turns you into a real pro. Your voice. Not your room
A dynamic capsule with a supercardioid pickup pattern sounds technical, but works simply: the microphone focuses strongly on one source – you – and cuts out what comes from the sides and rear. PC noise, a loud fridge, noise outside the window? Background. A dynamic microphone handles untreated rooms much better than a condenser mic, and higher vocal expression simply isn’t a problem – you can speak loudly, get excited, SHOUT INTO THE MICROPHONE. The set includes a thick foam pop filter that eliminates plosives – those “p” and “b” sounds that make recordings sound like you’re smacking the microphone (and the listener) with a flip-flop. Fewer problems at the input, less digging around in post-production. There’s only one rule: speak into the top of the microphone from 10–20 cm away – the rest happens on its own.
Gain without minimizing
Voice sensitivity control should be quick and convenient, which is why Krux Qube is equipped with a large sensitivity control knob placed directly on the front of the microphone. No going into Windows settings, no searching for a slider in streaming software, no interrupting the recording. One hand movement is enough to adjust the signal gain level to the situation.
Mute faster than Alt+Tab
Your dog just started barking. Mom is calling from the hallway. You feel a coughing fit coming. The touch mute button does exactly what it should: it mutes silently – no click on the recording – and lights up red, so you always know it’s muted. You don’t have to minimize a window, look for an icon in the system, or say “hey, wait a second”. Touch, red, silence. One move, zero chaos.
Hear yourself without delay
The built-in 3.5 mm headphone jack enables direct zero-latency monitoring, so you can keep track of your sound in real time. Additional volume control lets you conveniently adjust the level of audio played from the computer. Why? Because there’s nothing worse than finding out from chat that they could barely hear you for the last half hour. Or that every keyboard click was audible. With direct monitoring, you know right away – and react instead of explaining yourself after the fact.
Your setup, your way
RGB lighting at the base of the microphone lets you match its look to the rest of your station. You can change lighting colors and effects or turn RGB off completely by holding the button for three seconds. Whether you like a station that glows like a victory screen after a ranked match or prefer a more toned-down look, the choice is yours.
Not just at the desk
Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, PS4, PS5 – Qube doesn’t ask about the platform, Qube simply records. It works with computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones with a USB-C connector, and audio interfaces via XLR. A USB-C cable and USB-A adapter are included, so you don’t need any additional accessories for a basic connection. And yes – you can take it with you: a smartphone with USB-C is enough to record outside your home too.
